A Note From Bill DeCicco, Carol Bender Gordon, Myron Mondora, Lloyd Murray and Gary Stewart

INVITATION TO BHS59 ALUMNI TO GET LOST IN THE 50s AGAIN
                                     "Operation Get Lost"

TO:  All Boardman High School Class of 1959 Alumni

FROM:  Bill DeCicco, Carol Bender Gordon, Myron Mondora, Lloyd Murray and Gary Stewart

RE:  Proposed BHS59 Operation Get Lost (in the 50s again) aka "The initial Boardman Gathering"

Dear fellow BHS59 Alumni:

Your BHS59 Operation Get Lost committee, also known as the mini-reunion group, recently met and decided an initial "Boardman Gathering" should be pursued where all members of the Boardman High School Class of 1959 can get "lost in the 50s" once again.

Tentative plans call for this gathering to be scheduled at a yet to be determined Boardman area location beginning at approximately noon on Saturday, June 26, 2010.  This will be an informal and reasonable cost luncheon, followed by two to three hours of enjoyable fellowship were we can all again indulge in reminiscence about our Boardman High School days back in the nifty-fifties.  This very informal event will be modeled after the successful "Venice Gatherings" held periodically in Florida.  Presently, it is the consensus that the gathering should be restricted to only the class of 1959, their spouses and any other guests.  If some classmates want to arrange for additional activities including golf, dinner, an evening on the town and/or breakfast the following morning, you are encouraged to do so separately as these are not now presently included with the committee's plans.

However before details for our initial "Boardman Gathering" can be finalized, your committee needs to first gauge interest.  Therefore, please take a moment now to indicate the probability of your attendence as per one of the following options:

____   I definately will attend.

____   I most likely will attend but have to check out some other matters first.

____  The probability of my attendance is about 50/50

____  Thanks for the invitation but maybe next time.

____  Get lost!!!   Not interested.

If you plan on attending, please advise if you will bring along your spouse or a guest.

Kindly RSVP your proposed attendance plans via Reunion@BHS59.com or Class Notes.  by no later than Sunday, March 14th.  If at least 25 to 30 classmates (and guests) convey an interest, your mini-reunion (Operation Get Lost) committee will assemble again (at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 21st at Peaberry's located at 4350 Boardman-Canfield Road, Canfield) to further plan for our Saturday, June 26th "Boardman Gathering" where we can all get lost in the 50s once again.  Again, it is important that those who are interested in attending respond to this e-mail, if not now, within the next few days.

Also, please take this opportunity to offer any ideas and suggestions for the Operation Get Lost committee to consider.  Further, if you know of a classmate who is not listed in our BHS googlegroup directory, kindly take a moment and notify them about the proposed gathering via either a phone call or another method.

Looking forward to getting lost in the 50s with all of you again soon.

Thanks.

Bill DeCicco

P.S.  Although the proposed Boardman Gathering will be an informal event, a moment or two will be set aside to determine if future gatherings should be held and if so how frequently.  Further, some time will be set aside to brainstorm for our BHS class of 1959 "70th birthday party" to be held perhaps during the summer of 2011.
